Ease

Effortless

The café ritual, made at home — grassy matcha, vanilla and the softest oat milk.

Ingredients

What you'll gather

  • 1 tsp ceremonial matcha, sifted
  • 60 ml hot water (80°C, not boiling)
  • 200 ml oat milk (barista style)
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or honey
  • ¼ tsp vanilla paste

Method

A gentle path

  1. 1

Sift the matcha into your cup — this is the step everyone skips and the one that matters.

  2. 2

Add the hot water and whisk in a quick W motion until a fine foam appears.

  3. 3

Warm the oat milk with the vanilla and maple, then froth until silky.

  4. 4

Pour the milk over the matcha slowly, letting the green and cream meet.

  5. 5

Sit by a window for five minutes. That is part of the recipe.

A little note

Over ice in summer: whisk the matcha with cold water and pour over cubes.
